London’s Most Instagramable Eateries

I have been UK living for over 2 years now and I am slowly making my way through the list of London’s most Instagramable eateries.  What is an Instagramable eatery I hear you say?  My definition would be a pretty establishment worthy of the ‘perfect Instagram picture‘.  Whether that be for their food or their decor.  So I have started with a list of the places I have already tried, and finished with a few more that are still on my wish list!
Saint Aymes, London

ELAN CAFE

We were ‘those girls‘ whom asked to be seated next to the Instagramable walls – think neon sign and flower wall. Well, the table was free so why wouldn’t you ask to be seated next to one of the most Instagramable walls in London?   We were adventurous and opted for their obscure teas and coffees – a Velvet Latte and Black Magic Latte.  The flavors were delicate and one was sprinkled with glitter so its not an experience you would enjoy every day.  The food served was generous portions and was really tasty.  Plus there is a huge selection of beautiful, photo worthy cakes and desserts.  With 6 locations around London, you will be sure to find one nearby.

SKETCH

The most delicious, gorgeous and memorable afternoon tea I have enjoyed since living in the UK. From the pink velvet chairs, ornate ceiling, interesting abstract artwork, a live string band and egg shaped loos.  Dining at Sketch London will be an experience you won’t forget, and of course it makes for the perfect Instagram pic. The food was pretty and plentiful, with second helpings offered of sandwiches and desserts.  And of course we washed it all down with a crisp pink champagne.

FARM GIRL

This Aussie owned cafe chain in London has all the ingredients for a noteworthy Instagramable eatery.  Pretty coffee, interesting interiors and food that you must photograph before eating.  These guys are the founders of the Rose Latte which combines artisan coffee and rose water.  Rose water is renowned for its healing properties and the latte makes for a pretty picture when it is sprinkled with dried rose petals.

They pride themselves on pioneering the recent trend of healthy brunching and interestingly operate a cashless system.  We dined at the Soho cafe above the flagship Sweaty Betty store, and they are also located in Chelsea and Portobello.

PEGGY PORSCHEN CAKES

There is no doubt you have already seen this gorgeous cake shop all over your Instagram feed.  Its hard to resist venturing to the Belgravia establishment with its pink exterior, floral doorway and pretty cakes.  On a brisk and sunny winters day we enjoyed our pot of tea and cake outside on the alfresco sidewalk.  Be early and avoid the ques at one of London’s most Instagramable eateries!

SAINT AYMES

Founded by two London sisters, the girls created the cafe with the belief that “beauty should exist, in our daily experiences, without the need for justification or occasion.”  Mackenzie and I made our way to St George’s Fields on one of our many adventures to London to dine at Saint Aymes.

A wriggly toddler is perhaps not the best coffee date for this quiet and sophisticated establishment – their website even discourages parents from bringing energetic and disruptive children.  However, I enjoyed my coffee and hand crafted chocolates, and of course we had our photo taken in front of that signature flower wall.  They offer a variety of unique coffees and drinks, and the shop front is unmissable with its beautiful flower installation.

FEYA

A stylish, pastel-hued patisserie-cafe in Marylebone.  They had me at hello with plush pink chairs, blossoms and butterflies.  I have been following this cafe on Instagram for some time because everything looks picture perfect and delectable!

COPPA CLUB, TOWER BRIDGE

In winter this is the home of the Insta famous igloos, and this summer the establishment has been converted into Surfers Paradise.  The set-up features a classic VW van pop-up bar, tropical plants, a surfboard swing for those Instagram lovers, and laid-back Surfer Shacks.  I definitely need to make myself a reservation here before summer ends.

CHILTERN FIRE HOUSE

Dubbed to be the celebrity hot spot and a little while back it was impossible to obtain a reservation.  The old fire station has been converted into a hotel and restaurant which offers a contemporary menu.  Delicious food and the opportunity to rub shoulders with someone famous?  This is definitely my definition of an Instagramable eatery.

DUCK & WAFFLE

Located on the 40th floor of one of the tallest buildings in London, the floor to ceiling windows allow you to be the eyes in the sky above London.  Food is served at this restaurant 24/7 and is described as a ‘playful take on British cuisine‘. There will be plenty of opportunities to take Instagram worthy photos at this sky high establishment.

Finally, for something a little different, why not try a bottomless brunch or afternoon tea on a London Bus?  We saw Bridget’s Bakery Bus drive past when we were enjoying some champagne at Cakes & Bubbles and it looks super fun.  And you are guaranteed some of the best views of London whilst onboard!  So, next time I venture to London for a girly day, this will be at the top of my priority list.

So which of these London’s most Instagramable Eateries have you been to or have you been wanting to try?  I would also love to know of others that you think I should add to the list.  And before you head back to your busy day, why not keep dreaming of pretty food and champagne by reading my post ‘Sky High | Afternoon Tea at Burj Al Arab‘.  Shell x

  1. Thoroughly recommend the Duck and Waffle, especially their signature dish of duck and waffles.
Also worth trying is the bar at the top of the Gherkin. Now sadly dwarfed by the buildings around it but unique for its 360° view.

  2. I love the flower wall! Some beautiful locations, think I’d be a bit scared of taking my boys into some of them though! ? #TwinklyTuesday

    1. Hehe, I know what you mean! Although surprisingly many of them are child friendly and have been so welcoming and kind to us! x

    1. Yes, save them for a special treat for yourself 🙂 every Mama needs some self care from time to time xx

  3. Wow there are some beautiful locations to visit, but for me it’s the Elan cafe next to the flower wall for sure. Just how beautiful does this place look though! Thank you so much for linking up with us for #kcacols and we hope to see you next time.
