Maxwell-Scott’s AW Launch at The Grand, York

I recently had the pleasure of attending the Maxwell-Scott’s AW Launch for its 2019 collection.  Maxwell Scott’s team invited me to their party and their super luxe products appealed to me so, I was eager to attend the event.   Maxwell Scott is a proud Yorkshire based brand with gorgeous leather goods which are British designed and Italian made.

The party was hosted in the stunning Chairman’s Suite at The Grand, York.  With such an opulent setting, I knew I was in for a special treat.

We were greeted with Prosecco and canapes, and given the opportunity to mingle with fellow bloggers and the team at Maxwell Scott.  William Forshaw, CEO, and Julia Munder, International Marketing Manager, both made a short speech and then we were guided into the suite to explore all of the beautiful pieces in the collection.

There was a palm reader for those whom were interested in discovering what the future may hold.  Phil was manning the monogramming station and merrily tended to all of our requests to have our initials imprinted on the leather goods.  For those whom are artistically gifted, they could also paint their own bespoke design on a Nappa Leather Heart Travel Case.

Whilst playing with all of the bags and making new friends, I also enjoyed a glass of Rose Billecart-Salmon Brut Rose Champagne (my fave!) and the room was filled with a beautiful scent from Neom Candles.

I must admit that I had not heard of Maxwell-Scott prior to being invited to their launch, however now I have become somewhat of a fan girl.  Maxwell-Scott describes their brand as impeccable Italian craftsmanship and classic, understated British design. When looking over all of their pieces I could not help but be reminded of strolling through markets in Italy and being hit with the gorgeous smell of leather from the stores. Maxwell-Scott do not believe in fast fashion and want you to enjoy your pieces for decades to come. I am also a big believer of buying well made, classic pieces that will last you a long time.

Maxwell-Scott is a family-run business based in my current home town of York, England. However despite being based in York, they aspire to be at the very forefront of the digital age and have eight websites worldwide.  So wherever you might be based, I’m sure you will be able to get your hands on one of the pieces in the new collection.

Where do I start with the collection – it is simply beautiful. The pieces are timeless and understated.  They ooze sophistication with the classic designs and autumnal colours.  The collection was designed by Catriona Forsyth whom has previously designed for Alexander McQueen and Calvin Klein.  When designing the bags it was imperative to her that they were functional for the modern woman whilst being of the very highest quality.  The AW collection is designed to cater to every type of city girl, whether you are a high flying business woman, full-time blogger or busy mama.  The very fitting motto for the collection is #mybagmycity.

Maxwell-Scott’s AW 19 Collection will be available for pre-order at soon.

I was very generously gifted the Savona Nappa Card Holder (in Petrol) which was then monogrammed with my initials.  I have bought several card holders for male friends and family members in the past, but never one for myself.  The quality is divine and the leather is oh so soft.  Mini bags are very on trend right now, so this is the perfect solution for not losing your cards and notes in your bag!

The event was also a fantastic opportunity to network and mingle with inspiring and like minded people.  If you are anything like me then you love finding new Instagram accounts to follow!  Check out some of these Yorkshire based bloggers and Instagrammers:

To wrap it up, I have included details of my outfit for the evening.  Over the past few years I have been all about the jumpsuits and take any excuse to wear one!  This particular one is a little out there with the leopard print, so I kept the rest of the outfit relatively simple.
