4 Top Tips For Your Daily Skincare Routine

Many people dream of beautiful skin and if you are the same, you should not underestimate the importance of a good daily skincare routine. You may be willing to invest a huge amount of effort, time, and money into achieving incredible skin with the best skin care, beard balms, and moisturisers. Perhaps you will even visit cosmetologists and plastic surgeons, try various procedures, buy expensive creams all just to try and achieve flawless skin. But sometimes it turns out that for our skin to look good, it is simply enough to undertake a good daily skincare routine.

With that in mind, lets look at 4 top tips to ensure your daily skincare routine meets your needs!

#1: Stop Scrubbing Too Hard

Often, in the pursuit for beautifully clean skin, we go too far with our daily skincare routines. If you use aggressive cleansers, you run the risk of damaging your precious skin. Stringent products may remove the protective layer of your skin, causing it to dry out and subsequently begin to actively produce oil to recover. As a result, this leads to the early formation of wrinkles, acne, and inflammation. A similar thing can happen with the excessive use of scrubs. If you have dry, sensitive, or are prone to inflammatory skin, think twice before using a scrub.

Various devices intended for mechanical cleansing, such as exfoliating scrubs, can sometimes affect the skin more aggressively. Alternatively, opting for a gentle face mist spray could provide a soothing and less abrasive option for maintaining healthy skin.  Items such as abrasive sponges and skin brushes can all lead to the formation of micro damage to the surface layers of the skin. As a result, it becomes rough and inflammation can begin to appear.

What should you use?

To exfoliate dead cells, get rid of black heads and even out your complexion, cleansers with acids are most effective. Ask your beautician for assistance when choosing the best cleanser for your skin type.

#2: Do Not Self Medicate For Acne

No one is happy with pimples on their skin. It is so very tempting to squeeze them but that will only aggravate the skin and can cause scarring. Furthermore, self medicating for acne with a product you found may cause damage to the skin if it is not suitable to your skin type.

What should you use?

Acne treatment should be carried out by a dermatologist or cosmetologist.

Since acne most often appears due to hormonal dysfunction, they are usually treated with hormonal contraceptives (only for girls) and retinoids (for both girls and men). All drugs are prescribed only after a comprehensive examination and under the constant supervision of a doctor. Retinoids are a synthetic analog of vitamin A, specifically designed to treat acne. Retinoids, in most cases, can achieve a stable remission up to 5-6 years. For all types of acne, local treatment is mandatory.

In addition to the specific treatment of acne, the doctor will work to eliminate the root cause of the disease. This may be one of the following:

  • the appointment of drugs that normalize the function of the gastrointestinal tract,
  • the treatment of parasitosis,
  • the correct selection of cosmetics that will not have a comedogenic effect (does not clog pores), or
  • correction of the personal hygiene system.

#3: Avoid Sunbathing

Excessive exposure to ultraviolet radiation leads to photoaging, hyperpigmentation as well as thinning and drying out of the skin. The worst part is that damage accumulates gradually, and you can enjoy sunbathing for quite a long time before you notice the effects to your skin. This may include many wrinkles, reduced elasticity and dark spots. However, getting rid of the consequences of excessive sunlight is very, very difficult.

What should you use?

Protect your skin from the sun all year round by wearing face sunscreen daily! And remember that UV protection is needed both in winter and on a cloudy day.

#4: Stop Experimenting Too Much

Trying something new is always interesting. But not all experiments, especially in the field of beauty and health, lead to good results. The Internet and pages of magazines are full of various tips and tricks for skincare routines, including unique remedies such as:

  • Smearing your face with kefir, oatmeal and strawberries,
  • Making onion hair masks (surely the smell is enough to put anyone off!), or
  • Buying “unique” creams with an incomprehensible composition on a Chinese website.

We are sure many of your girlfriends can tell a couple of funny or sad (depending on the consequences) stories about their cosmetic experiments over the years.

At best, with such experiments, you will simply lose time and money. At worst, it will take a long and difficult time to treat damaged skin. It is best to choose only reliable product lines like The Beauty Chef.

What should you use?

Nowadays, there are many proven, certified, reliable beauty products and methods that will achieve the desired effect without risk to health. A cosmetologist will help you choose an effective and safe remedy for solving almost any skin problem.

We hope that our recommendations will help you to better understand how to care for your facial skin, how to choose the right cosmetic products and how to keep your skin young and beautiful with the right daily skincare routine!
