As we draw closer to the end of 2019, I thought it would be fun to put together a blog highlights reel for Wander & Luxe. It has been a big year for me in terms of blogging. I have learnt so much about this craft – I honestly never knew it was such a complex industry. I have published some posts which I am very proud of and have enjoyed sharing with all of you. I attended events, met wonderfully interesting people and started to work with brands that I really love. Wander & Luxe is still very much in its infancy but I am dreaming big … because that’s who I am. So here’s to celebrating the year that was and making 2020 a stellar year!
WE TRAVELLED TO …
Places that have been on our bucket list for many years and several new countries. Our family went plane spotting in St Maarten and followed in the footsteps of the Game of Thrones characters in Dubrovnik. We sampled port in Porto, ate all the pizza and pasta in Sorrento, Italy and made our annual pilgrimage to Paris for the races. One of my favorite round up pieces is where I spoke to several bloggers about their experiences and why they think it is important to travel with children. And don’t forget my tips on how to survive flying with a toddler or the essential packing list for traveling with a baby.
MY THOUGHTS ON MOTHERHOOD
My aim is to unpack many pregnancy and motherhood topics over time. I want to provide you with useful resources, insights and support as you deal with those times yourself. From morning sickness remedies and tips for sleeping better during pregnancy. To birth stories, breastfeeding essentials and feeling sexy after motherhood. We are smack bang in the middle of the terrible twos, so as we grow and develop as parents, I will be sharing our wisdom (or rather lack there of) with you.
I ATTENDED …
Several really great events, meaning I am (almost) a proper blogger now! From the launch of the Maxwell-Scott collection to the Bump & Baby Expo at York Racecourse. I also enjoyed a few different experiences around Yorkshire like a tour at Yorkshire Heart Winery and the Distill your own gin experience at Spirit of Harrogate.
HIGHLIGHTS OF 2019
Whilst 2019 feels like it has gone by in an absolute blur, when I reflect on everything we have done it has been yet another wonderful year. Some of my fondest memories are the 24 hours in London with my sister, hunting down the most Instagramable eateries. The mummy daughter photo shoot with Framed by Laurie was also very special and I cherish the photos. Then there is my work with York Racecourse over the summer – the Ebor Festival was as fabulous as ever.
Finally …
A big thank you to all of you, my lovely readers. It means so much to me when you read my blog posts and even more so when you leave a comment. Without your support, Wander & Luxe would be nothing more than musings to myself, so I appreciate you all more than you know!
I hope you have enjoyed this blog highlights reel and reflecting on the year that was. Enjoy what remains of 2019 and the celebrations with your family and friends over the festive season. See you bright and early in 2020 with all the insights from our trip to Australia. Shell x
